Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to own the technical strategy across enterprise sales opportunities from qualification through closed won.
- Lead customer discovery to uncover technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria, translating those needs into tailored Datadog solutions.
- Deliver product demos, technical presentations, and workshops connecting platform capabilities to customer outcomes.
- Project-manage technical evaluations end to end, including scoping use cases, defining success criteria, creating timelines, and holding participants accountable.
- Identify and cultivate technical champions within customer accounts to advocate for Datadog adoption and build internal consensus.
- Participate in product and engineering feedback sessions as the technical voice of the customer.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, deal progress, and customer interactions in related systems.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, and go-to-market teams to address customer needs and resolve technical blockers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
- Experience navigating multi-stakeholder environments and adapting communication for technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Proficiency with public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, APM and tracing, security, developer experience, and observability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Consultative approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Growth mindset and willingness to embrace change and AI tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements.
