Lead Solutions Architect - Strategic Customers
Leads strategic enterprise engagements across the UK and Ireland, advising C-suite stakeholders on Data and AI transformation and designing solutions across major cloud ecosystems. The role requires deep data platform expertise, commercial awareness, executive communication, and experience influencing global-scale technology change.

Responsibilities
- Advise and partner with complex enterprise customers to shape long-term Data & AI strategies and drive technology-led organisational transformation.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders ranging from developers to C-suite executives, helping them understand the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Partner with Account Executives and UKI leadership to design engagement strategies for strategic customers.
- Mentor and coach the wider solutions architecture practice on complex customer scenarios and executive engagement.
- Orchestrate solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, and third-party tools.
- Lead executive engagements, create customer-facing content, and speak at industry events.
- Establish and maintain best practices across UKI technical communities.
- Travel to customer sites in the UK and London offices approximately 20–30% of the time.
Requirements
- Experience influencing technology change at global enterprise scale, particularly Data & AI strategy and implementation.
- Strong understanding of customer and vendor commercial motivations and sales cycles.
- Familiarity with major Data & AI market players, hyperscalers, and ISVs.
- A builder mentality, with a preference for demonstrating solutions through working examples.
- Deep experience with core data and AI technologies, including Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and Databricks.
- Ability to orchestrate diverse teams and explain complex technology to non-technical leaders.
