Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to life sciences research institutions and mission-driven organizations throughout their Claude adoption journey.
- Translate scientific workflows into impactful AI solutions from discovery through deployment.
- Enable organizations to become AI-native through Claude Code, Claude Science, process evolution, and research workflows.
- Design and lead cohort-based accelerators across multiple institutions.
- Identify challenges in deploying AI in life sciences and communicate findings to product, engineering, and research teams.
- Inform ecosystem-level products, including domain-specific MCP servers, scientific benchmarks and evaluations, and reusable agent skills.
- Create technical presentations, demonstrations, documentation, tutorials, and sample code.
- Travel occasionally to partner sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building.
- Help establish team processes and culture as the team scales.
Requirements
- 8+ years in a technical role, ideally with customer-facing experience such as solutions architecture, customer engineering, sales engineering, technical account management, product engineering, or forward-deployed engineering.
- Experience in life sciences, biomedical research, or scientific computing.
- Experience working with or building trust among academic research institutions, biotech companies, pharmaceutical companies, or mission-driven scientific organizations.
- Understanding of the challenges and constraints of scientific organizations.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, context engineering, evaluation frameworks, agent architectures, and retrieval frameworks.
- Strong teaching, mentoring, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work across multiple functions, build from scratch, operate amid ambiguity, and take on varied responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in genomics, neuroscience, or drug discovery.
- Comfort working deeply with academic researchers.
Compensation
- Annual compensation: £165,000–£190,000 GBP.
