Responsibilities
- Own billing operations end-to-end across regions and products, delivering accurate, timely invoicing and responsive billing support that clearly communicates the value of Rokt to our customers
- Define and maintain billing policies, procedures, and quality controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency—building playbooks for new commercial arrangements as our products and models evolve
- Drive automation relentlessly: monitor billing metrics (timeliness, error rates, credit/rebill volume), identify root causes, and implement process and system changes that eliminate manual work
- Partner with system and data owners to ensure source-to-invoice integrity, approvals, and audit trails meet SOX and internal control requirements
- Act as a key decision-maker for billing rules and workflows in partnership with GTM, RPD, Legal, and Finance—translating contract terms and customer requirements into scalable, automated processes
- Support accounts receivable by providing billing evidence and context; collaborate with GTM and AR on complex issues, exceptions, and collections
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and internal Support Handbooks so billing processes are repeatable, auditable, and resilient—and so the business knows exactly how to engage with your team

Requirements
- System-savvy with an automation-first mindset—you default to building scalable solutions, not manual workarounds
- Strong experience in billing operations, revenue operations, or order-to-cash in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ownership of complex billing workflows
- Solid understanding of billing processes, internal controls, and SOX requirements; exposure to revenue recognition concepts is a plus
- Proven ability to drive process and system improvements end-to-end: defining billing rules, writing system requirements, and documenting evolving commercial models
- Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration with GTM, product, and legal teams to align contracts, systems, and controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication—you can produce clear guidance, align stakeholders, and move fast without creating bottlenecks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; you use data and metrics to prioritize, validate improvements, and tell the story of what’s working
- Genuine intellectual curiosity and a pragmatic, solutions-led approach to complex operational challenges
Bonus Points
- Experience at a publicly traded company or in a pre-IPO environment preparing for public company readiness
- Knowledge of international operations and global billing complexity, including multi-currency and cross-border invoicing
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools for process automation, data reconciliation, or anomaly detection
- Background in adtech, ecommerce, or marketplace billing models
Compensation
Target total compensation ranges from $170,000 - $228,000, including a fixed annual salary of $153,000 - $188,000, an employee equity plan grant, and world-class benefits.
