Solutions Engineer, Mid-Market

This role advises mid-market customers and Account Executives through complex cybersecurity sales cycles by leading discovery, demonstrations, technical qualification, and solution design. Candidates need 4+ years of customer-facing technical sales or solutions engineering experience and familiarity with identity security or SaaS.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary technical advisor within the go-to-market organization.
  • Lead discovery, technical qualification, tailored demonstrations, and solution design for mid-market customers.
  • Recommend technical solutions aligned with customer use cases, business goals, requirements, and decision criteria.
  • Define technical success criteria and drive alignment among customer stakeholders throughout the sales process.
  • Coach Account Executives on product capabilities and customer-specific messaging.
  • Educate customers on the 1Password product suite while collaborating with Product, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Support.
  • Share knowledge and mentor teammates across the Solutions Engineering team.
  • Travel up to 25% as needed.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in customer-facing technical sales, solutions engineering, or a similar B2B role.
  • Experience supporting complex sales cycles for cybersecurity, identity security, or SaaS solutions.
  • Working knowledge of identity security concepts, including PAM and IGA.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation, communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities autonomously, adapt to changing customer requirements, and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the MEDDPICC sales methodology.
  • Familiarity with SCIM, CLI, SAML, SSO, OAuth, Active Directory, APIs, SSH, AI, and MCP.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $100,000 USD–$140,000 USD.
  • Commission eligible.
