Responsibilities
Own Program Delivery
- Manage end-to-end delivery of assigned Finance programs from charter and scoping through testing, go-live, and post-implementation review.
- Develop and maintain program plans covering critical paths, milestones, dependencies, resource allocation, and risk and issue logs (RAID).
- Monitor progress, identify and resolve blockers, and escalate when needed.
- Deliver programs according to Finance PMO governance standards, templates, and operating model.
Drive Stakeholder Alignment
- Build relationships with Finance functional leads, IT partners, Business Analysts, and external vendors.
- Run steering meetings, status updates, and working group sessions.
- Communicate program status, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage competing priorities, drive consensus, and maintain momentum through disagreement.
Manage Requirements and Documentation
- Gather, validate, and document business requirements with Business Analysts and Finance stakeholders.
- Ensure requirements are clearly handed off to IT and vendor teams and track delivery against specifications.
- Maintain charters, plans, process flows, decision logs, and lessons learned.
Support Testing and Adoption
- Coordinate UAT planning and execution with Business Analysts and Finance functional leads.
- Integrate change and communications activities into program plans with the Change Manager.
- Support post-go-live hypercare and program close activities.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to PMO continuous improvement.
Contribute to PMO Operations
- Support Finance PMO intake and portfolio planning with accurate program data, effort estimates, and capacity inputs.
- Maintain accurate program data using Finance PMO standards and tools, including Smartsheet.
- Support portfolio reporting for the Director, PMO & Portfolio Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- 4–6 years of program or project management experience in a Finance, Operations, or Technology environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs through scoping, planning, execution, testing, and close.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation and status reporting.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to structure and drive work in ambiguous environments.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project-management tools.
Nice to Have
- PMP certification; Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Finance processes such as P2P, O2C, R2R, or FP&A.
- Finance system or ERP implementations, including NetSuite, Kyriba, Brex, Salesforce, Pigment, AppZen, or Workiva.
- Experience in a high-growth global technology company.
- Background in Accounting Operations or Finance Transformation.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other SaaS technologies.
- Experience coordinating change management or training activities.
- Program management experience supporting integrations from M&A activities.
