Sales Operations Analyst

Analyzes sales performance and maintains data models, dashboards, reporting, and compensation analytics. The role requires 0–2 years of quantitative or business analytics experience, SQL proficiency, and strong cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain foundational sales analytics data models, partnering with Data Engineering to improve data quality.
  • Build, maintain, and improve recurring reports and dashboards for sales metrics, attainment, productivity, and business performance.
  • Build and support sales compensation models and reporting used to track representative performance and attainment.
  • Translate compensation plans, business rules, and metric definitions into reliable analytical outputs with Finance and Sales Operations.
  • Analyze sales performance trends, variances, and data-quality issues to identify risks, opportunities, and improvements.
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales operating reviews.
  • Define requirements, troubleshoot reporting issues, and test improvements to sales data and systems with Data Engineering and Business Systems.
  • Document data definitions, model logic, reporting processes, and assumptions.
  • Turn ambiguous business questions into clear, data-backed recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, modeling, documentation, and problem-solving while validating outputs.
  • Improve the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of sales reporting and analytics processes.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales analytics, sales operations, business analytics, finance, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Technical or quantitative background and interest in data, systems, and business processes.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills, including querying, joining, aggregating, and validating data across multiple sources.
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, especially for compensation and performance metrics.
  • Interest in sales performance, forecasting, compensation, productivity, and go-to-market operations.
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Finance, Data Engineering, Business Systems, and other teams.
  • Curiosity about applying AI to analytical workflows and judgment to validate AI-generated logic, numbers, and recommendations.
  • Growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn quickly, and ownership of defined work.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving organization with evolving priorities.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Bay Area OTE: $85,500–$102,150.
  • Eligible employees may receive a corporate bonus or sales incentive, with the target included in OTE, as well as Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
