IT Support and Security Specialist
Own internal IT support, onboarding and offboarding, device and access administration, and SOC 2 compliance for a growing startup. The role requires prior independent IT experience, strong written communication, and full-time onsite work in New York City.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for company-wide IT issues and resolve approximately 10 daily support tickets independently.
- Own employee onboarding and offboarding end to end, including documenting repeatable processes.
- Operate the SOC 2 compliance program and maintain audit readiness in Vanta in partnership with People Operations.
- Administer the Mac device fleet.
- Manage and tighten access controls for tools including Dialpad and Salesforce.
- Identify process improvements and automate repetitive IT support tasks with AI where appropriate.
- Potentially expand into Office Manager responsibilities, including reception, supplies, and guest coordination, with adjusted compensation.
Requirements
- Prior experience as the primary IT contact or a core IT specialist at a similarly sized company.
- Working knowledge of SOC 2 compliance and the ability to manage compliance operations in a tool such as Vanta.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite at the company's SoHo office five days per week.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building AI-powered workflows or automations.
- Familiarity with Okta or similar identity and access management tools.
- Experience administering Mac devices, ideally in a startup environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $110,000-$135,000.
- Compensation may be adjusted if the role expands to include Office Manager responsibilities.
