Responsibilities
Strategy & Function Leadership
- Own Docker’s global partner marketing function, including strategy, budget, standards, operating model, resourcing, and team development.
- Build and maintain the annual Global Partner Marketing Plan, defining spend allocation, pipeline targets, and marketing motions across partner tiers and geographies.
- Shape ecosystem go-to-market strategy with alliances leadership and lead quarterly reporting on partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, MDF ROI, and portal adoption.
Partner Campaigns & Pipeline
- Translate partner program requirements into scalable campaigns and marketing motions that partners can execute independently or with Docker.
- Own the partner marketing calendar in coordination with corporate marketing, product launches, and field marketing.
- Operationalize partner lead management and joint demand-generation programs, tracking the pipeline they create.
Partner Communications, Portal & Content
- Lead partner-facing communications that keep partners engaged, informed, and enabled.
- Govern and optimize the Partner Portal (PRM), maintaining organized, current content and increasing adoption and engagement.
- Own partner-facing messaging, Docker’s partner web presence, segment value stories, and an asset library that equips partners to sell Docker.
Partner MDF & Co-Marketing
- Own the global Partner MDF program from design and eligibility through approval, activity tracking, compliance, and ROI reporting.
- Develop MDF-funded co-marketing plans that drive pipeline and brand awareness for Docker and its partners.
Partner Events & Webinars
- Set partner event strategy and execute partner summits, conference tracks, webinars, and roadshows with Field Marketing, Events, and regional partner teams.
- Ensure activations include follow-up motions that convert engagement into pipeline.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in partner, channel, or ecosystem marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or open-source software.
- Proven success building and scaling global partner marketing programs and delivering measurable pipeline results.
- Experience leading a function, managing or mentoring marketers, or serving as the senior-most partner marketing voice; readiness to build and lead a team.
- Hands-on experience with PRM platforms, MDF programs, co-marketing budgets, and ROI reporting.
- Experience with core marketing tools such as Salesforce, Marketo or HubSpot, and Asana or similar project-management software.
- Comfortable with pipeline reporting, MDF ROI analysis, portal engagement metrics, and managing multiple workstreams across time zones.
- Executive-level communication and collaboration skills, including working with vice presidents, partners, developers, and senior internal stakeholders.
- Global perspective and familiarity with regional nuances across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC.
- Builder mindset with the ability to create strategy, processes, operating models, and teams from the ground up.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with developer tools, container technology, or cloud-native ecosystems.
- Experience in B2B SaaS or open-source software.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $95,900–$210,000.
