Sales Engineer
This customer-facing technical role gathers requirements, designs and demonstrates solutions on the Orkes platform, supports RFIs and RFPs, and trains customers. It requires experience in sales engineering or solutions architecture, cloud-native systems, APIs, workflow development, and programming.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and design effective solutions leveraging the Orkes platform.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to map customer requirements and rapidly build compelling solution demonstrations.
- Support customer RFIs and RFPs with sales executives, marketing, and product teams.
- Act as the voice of the customer, providing feedback to product and engineering teams to influence the product roadmap.
- Work closely with sales, customer support, product, and engineering teams to drive deals to closure and ensure customer success.
- Lead customer training on the Orkes platform, providing best practices and guidance for workflow development using capabilities such as GenAI and advanced human tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with workflow development and APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and system integrations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to map customer requirements to compelling solutions and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Prior experience with open-source software or communities.
