Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and grow a team of Solutions Architects supporting the Financial Services segment.
- Lead and develop a diverse technical pre-sales team focused on enterprise software, big data and analytics, data engineering, data science, data warehousing, and generative AI.
- Partner with Sales and other Field Engineering segments to increase revenue and help customers succeed with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Build and maintain an efficient, high-performing Field Engineering team to accelerate market growth.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of highly qualified candidates and establish relationships across the business.
- Ensure Solutions Architects maintain advanced knowledge of the Databricks technology stack and continuously develop their technical expertise.
- Guide technical qualification, technical validations, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.
- Establish partnerships with systems integrators and independent software vendors to maximize and accelerate customer success.
- Foster collaboration among Field Engineering, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
- Influence and review complex architectures, guiding teams and customers toward scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and mentoring.
- 10+ years of experience in the data space with a technical product, such as data warehousing, big data, machine learning, or generative AI.
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor to technical executives making strategic data infrastructure decisions.
- Strong understanding of consumption-driven business models and long-term growth strategies.
- Experience hiring, ramping, developing, and promoting high-performing technical talent.
- Ability to build positive team culture and strong cross-functional working relationships.
- Technical depth sufficient to earn the trust of engineering talent and leadership.
Compensation
- Local pay range: $192,100–$264,175 USD.
- Compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
