Strategic Partner Manager

Manages Instacart’s retail partner relationships, launches new partners, analyzes business performance, and develops scalable growth strategies. Responsibilities

  • Launch new retail partners and manage relationships with existing Instacart retail partners.
  • Develop strategic plans to meet partners’ needs and guide implementation with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead partner launches, overseeing catalog setup, marketing and public relations, and operations.
  • Analyze large datasets to generate business insights, scalable growth strategies, and execution plans.
  • Establish processes and reporting to streamline team operations and strengthen retailer relationships.
  • Devise strategies to help retail partners grow their business on Instacart.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, communicate with partners at all organizational levels, and present to leadership.
  • Manage multiple time-sensitive projects and programs, including tight-deadline execution.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of account management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex issues.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and extracting business insights.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and present to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
  • Ability to work independently, respond quickly, and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have

  • MBA.
  • Experience negotiating sophisticated retail, consumer packaged goods, or commerce partnerships to drive revenue.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of varied partner business models.
  • Outstanding presentation and deck-building skills.

Compensation

  • Annual base salary ranges from $134,000 to $170,000 USD depending on permanent work location.
  • Eligible for a new-hire equity grant and annual refresh grants.
