Founding Sales Engineer
The founding Sales Engineer will lead technical discovery, demos, Proof-of-Values, and customer guidance while partnering with sales, product, and engineering. The role requires 3–5 years of customer-facing technical experience, ideally in cybersecurity or developer tooling, plus cloud infrastructure or DevOps knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Run discovery calls and tailored product demos for prospects ranging from CISOs to security engineers.
- Design, scope, and execute Proof-of-Values (PoVs), guiding customers through setup and monitoring outcomes.
- Create technical sales collateral, including demo scripts, one-pagers, architecture diagrams, and FAQs.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle on security, compliance, and integrations.
- Partner with engineering when deeper technical expertise is needed and serve as a Tracebit subject-matter expert.
- Feed customer feedback, feature requests, and competitive intelligence into product discussions.
- Represent Tracebit at cybersecurity conferences through technical demos and prospect engagement.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of customer-facing technical experience at a B2B SaaS company.
- Experience in technical sales, ideally in cybersecurity or developer tooling.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure or DevOps concepts.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to engineers and executives.
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and translate them into value propositions.
- Familiarity with sales processes and collaboration with account executives.
- Ability to identify and overcome technical blockers.
- Comfort working in early-stage startup environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Must have the right to work in the United States.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $180,000–$260,000.
