Sales Engineer, Ambient AI
Own customer pilots for an ambient AI healthcare platform, including technical scoping, EHR integrations, debugging, configuration, and implementation handoff. The role requires 3+ years in sales or solutions engineering, implementation, or healthcare IT, plus hands-on EHR and integration experience.

Responsibilities
- Scope and lead technical pilots for Commure Ambient from initial discovery through signed contract and implementation handoff.
- Lead technical scoping calls with providers and decision-makers; capture specialties, note types, EHRs, and workflows.
- Build and debug pilot EHR integrations using browser automation, DOM injection, and APIs.
- Configure and support advanced AI capabilities including ICD coding, orders, Patient 360, carry-forward history, and pre-visit summaries.
- Translate specialty requirements and gold-standard notes into template requests; triage template updates within a 24-hour SLA.
- Own pilot Slack channels, triage integration, template, and application requests, and maintain pilot status and usage in Salesforce.
- Support Account Executives with integration and feature questions, weekly integrations sales desk participation, RFPs, and security questionnaires.
- Document integrations, templates, provider lists, and known issues for implementation handoff.
- Escalate product and integration findings with clear reproduction steps and improve debugging tools, checklists, documentation, and playbooks.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, implementation, or healthcare IT.
- Hands-on experience with at least one ambulatory EHR, such as athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, NextGen, ModMed, Practice Fusion, or WebPT.
- Ability to read and debug integrations involving browser automation, DOM, REST APIs, JSON schemas, HL7/FHIR, and SQL.
- Ability to explain ambient AI note generation, limitations, and workflows to physicians and technical teams in plain language.
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple pilots across EHRs.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation, specialty workflows, HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST.
- Strong ownership and customer-facing communication skills.

- Engineering experience with a desire to work more directly with customers.
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech Expanse.
