Enterprise Account Executive, Public Sector
Own the full enterprise sales cycle for Fieldguide’s Internal Audit AI platform across public sector organizations, initially focusing on federal accounts. The role requires 5+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience, public sector buying expertise, and the ability to build a new go-to-market motion.

Responsibilities
- Own and build Fieldguide’s public sector territory, beginning with federal organizations and expanding into state, local, and higher education markets.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close across a greenfield account base.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets and sales metrics.
- Navigate public sector buying cycles and contract vehicles.
- Build relationships with procurement stakeholders, Inspector Generals, Comptrollers, audit directors, executives, practitioners, and technical teams.
- Develop territory and sales strategies using the MEDDICC methodology.
- Collaborate with Solutions, Finance, Product, Marketing, BDRs, and Customer Success throughout the sales process.
- Help shape public sector go-to-market strategy, messaging, and talk tracks.
- Plan and execute territory activities, networking events, conferences, and partner-led marketing opportunities.
- Travel up to 30% regionally and nationally.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Account Executive sales experience focused on net-new logos, with a record of exceeding quota.
- Deep experience with public sector buying environments, including federal, state, local, and higher education organizations.
- Experience selling complex software solutions that drive organization-wide transformation.
- Experience managing complex, multithreaded sales processes involving executive and end-user stakeholders.
- Strong project management, stakeholder coordination, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
- Ability to engage executives, practitioners, and technical teams to influence stakeholders and drive change.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and team-oriented selling skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working for or selling directly to audit, advisory, or assurance firms.
- Experience engaging procurement, audit leadership, and operational and technical stakeholders.
