Business Operations lead reporting directly to the CEO, owning recruiting pipeline, admin/finance operations, and strategic execution at a fast-growing AI data lab.

Responsibilities
- Support recruiting end-to-end, from sourcing and top-of-funnel outreach to coordinating interviews and work trials, managing candidate relationships, and managing external recruiters
- Support the company's administrative infrastructure: financials (payroll, expense tracking, vendor payments, invoicing), real estate and lease management, office setup, and any other operational foundations that keep the business running smoothly
- Step in wherever the founding team needs support, whether that's prepping materials for customer calls, tracking deal progress, drafting contracts, or solving cross-functional bottlenecks as they arise
- Serve as the right hand to the CEO across whatever the company needs most, including driving decision-making, owning high-priority cross-functional projects, and external communications, building and refining company operating cadences, monitoring core business metrics, identifying and eliminating operational bottlenecks, and acting as organizational glue as the team scales
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience at a top investment bank, consulting firm, or private equity firm
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information and drive clarity
- Track record of owning ambiguous, high-stakes projects and delivering results under tight timelines
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable with data, metrics, and building lightweight tools/dashboards
- Obsessive attention to detail paired with strategic thinking and business judgment
- Extreme ownership mentality—you see problems and fix them without being asked
- Thrives in fast-paced, unstructured environments; comfortable with rapid context-switching
- Collaborative, low-ego, high-trust operator who earns respect through execution
Nice-to-Haves
- Technical background or strong technical fluency (ability to engage credibly with engineering and research teams)
