Solutions Architect, Commercial, UK/I

Responsibilities

• Build consultative relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers, becoming a trusted advisor.
• Understand customer business objectives and apply payments, SaaS, Banking-as-a-Service, and Link Network solutions to solve customer challenges.
• Deliver demos, respond to RFPs, evangelize products, and develop customer-aligned narratives to secure technical wins.
• Collaborate with go-to-market, product, and marketing teams on executive briefings for mid-market accounts.
• Work with professional services and partners to accelerate activations and time to live.
• Collaborate with partners to expand market reach.
• Travel approximately 25% as needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of total relevant experience, including 4+ years in a customer-facing engineering role such as solutions architecture, sales engineering, customer success, or professional services delivery.
• Experience at mid-market or enterprise software companies, preferably in fintech or payments.
• Experience presenting and architecting solutions for external customers.
• Experience writing code in at least two deployment languages, such as Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of how technologies and systems interact, including ERP, CRM, billing, tax, and legacy systems.
• Executive engagement skills and the ability to build credibility with decision-makers.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to solve open-ended business problems using technology and creative thinking.

Nice to Have

• Payments domain expertise.
• Experience with web architecture, enterprise architecture, or optimizing financial business processes.
• Experience identifying business value, conducting discovery and demo cycles, roadmapping, and defining execution strategies.
