Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end portions of the signup-to-activation experience, from data models through user interfaces.
- Ship measurable improvements that help new customers get started quickly and reliably.
- Invent and prototype new onboarding experiences, including AI-enabled product flows.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data to frame problems, form hypotheses, and validate them with customers.
- Determine where AI reduces customer effort and integrate it thoughtfully into onboarding.
- Build modular, reusable onboarding components for new entry points.
- Provide technical direction, write high-quality code, conduct strong reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Make pragmatic scoping decisions, ship simple experiments, and iterate based on results.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including shipping customer-facing products at scale.
- Product-minded approach focused on customer problems and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to work independently across product, design, and data partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to execute quickly while maintaining high quality.
- Experience applying AI or large language model capabilities to real product problems.
- Strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and experience solving greenfield problems.
- Track record of technical leadership, mentorship, and raising engineering standards.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals and ability to work across frontend, backend, and data.
Compensation
- Target cash compensation: $223,000–$278,000 per year for San Francisco.
- Stock equity is additional.
