Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Artists & Creators
Build and own Songkick’s systems across backend, mobile, data, and notifications while leading its technical integration with Suno. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, strong API and architecture skills, and comfort in ambiguous startup environments.

Responsibilities
- Own part of the Songkick product end to end across backend services, mobile applications, data pipelines, and notification systems.
- Lead the technical integration of Songkick into Suno and help identify the next product and engineering priorities.
- Architect and maintain data aggregation systems that ingest, normalize, score, and consolidate touring and event data from dozens of sources into canonical records.
- Assess a large, established codebase and determine what to preserve, modernize, or retire.
- Design APIs consumed by mobile clients and collaborate with mobile engineering teams.
- Contribute to how fans discover and experience live music.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of software engineering experience, with a willingness to remain hands-on.
- Experience shipping quickly in a startup or similarly fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Strong API design skills and experience working with iOS, Android, or other mobile teams.
- Experience with modern agentic coding workflows, including end-to-end testing harnesses, reusable skills, and clear success criteria.
- Strong communication, writing, collaboration, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with some of the following:
- Systems ingesting data from 20+ sources
- Data normalization, source reliability scoring, survivorship rules, and canonical records
- Strong SQL and NoSQL
- Data modeling and system architecture at scale
- Web, Android, or iOS performance optimization
- Design systems and design-system retrofits
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience with React Native and/or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience building or maintaining email or push notification systems.
- Passion for music and live events.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $228,000–$363,000, plus target equity and benefits.
