Responsibilities
- Build Traba’s product on top of AI agents, applying frontier models and existing agents across the staffing marketplace.
- Own core backend services and platform infrastructure supporting sourcing, vetting, matching, and worker placement.
- Architect and lead core systems, including real-time matching and autonomous vetting pipelines powered by machine learning and AI agents.
- Own platform architecture and anticipate the company’s infrastructure needs over the next one to two years.
- Drive backend performance, reliability, scalability, and API design.
- Partner with the CTO on architectural decisions, roadmap development, and foundational platform engineering.
- Establish engineering standards for applying agents across the stack and using AI-assisted development tooling.
- Lead projects and make pragmatic technical decisions in an early-stage environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Python, PostgreSQL, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Deep full-stack engineering experience building performant, scalable applications.
- Expertise in APIs, data modeling, query optimization, and distributed systems.
- Track record of shipping and leading high-scale projects with high velocity.
- Ability to move between API design and deployment infrastructure.
- Comfort owning ambiguity and setting direction in an early-stage environment.
