Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical strategy and architecture across major product areas.
- Lead technical design, refinement, and execution for complex, high-impact initiatives.
- Mentor engineers at all levels and raise engineering standards.
- Lead implementation of challenging product features and greenfield products.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, product retrospectives, and team ceremonies.
- Conduct technical interviews and help evolve hiring standards.
- Drive alignment on technical decisions across engineering and other stakeholders.
- Identify and address architectural risks, technical debt, process problems, and scalability concerns.
- Advocate for appropriate technologies and development patterns.
- Use artificial intelligence as a development force multiplier while applying strong human judgment.
Requirements
- Meaningful experience as a senior software engineer focused on full-stack web development.
- Experience serving as a technical leader for complex engineering initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor experienced engineers and raise team standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-scale applications where data architecture and query performance are primary concerns.
- Advanced working knowledge of PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, and MySQL, or equivalent technologies such as Ruby, Node.js, React, Angular, Ember, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Interest in a hands-on, heavy-code-contribution individual contributor role.
