Commercial & Mid-Market Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer partners with sales and product teams to deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and onboarding support for Datadog customers. The role requires DevOps or architecture-tool expertise, Windows or Linux administration experience, and up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams to communicate Datadog’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
- Deliver product and technical presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Learn new technologies continuously to build competitive knowledge, technical expertise, and credibility.
- Collaborate directly with product teams on feature requests.
- Support customer product onboarding and help resolve obstacles.
- Think creatively about technical challenges throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
- Work with cross-functional teams to solve customer problems, escalate bugs, and represent the brand.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of and experience with DevOps monitoring or architecture tools.
- Confidence delivering technical presentations and demonstrations to external customers or internal teams.
- Creative problem-solving ability and willingness to learn continuously.
- Experience administering Windows or Linux systems.
- Ability to travel by car, train, or air for up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to travel to client sites and sit for up to four hours.
