Responsibilities
- Guide customers and partners in designing and building reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB’s data platform.
- Advise customers on software design, deployment, and operations, serving as a trusted technical advisor.
- Collaborate with account teams on technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation of technical decision criteria.
- Articulate the business and technical value of MongoDB solutions to management and executive audiences.
- Develop reference architectures, patterns, and AI blueprints with advisory consulting partners.
- Gather field feedback and relay it to Product Management.
- Participate in trade shows and account-based marketing events.
- Mentor pre-sales team members, share best practices, and support partner enablement.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical partners and help drive partner demand and Center of Excellence strategies.
- Build joint proposals and develop solution architecture strategies for products and services within the partner ecosystem.
- Mentor local partner organizations on general IT and application operations.
- Map industry trends and competitive threats to partner account bases.
- Travel up to 50%.
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall experience, including 2+ years in pre-sales with enterprise software and strong technical aptitude.
- Ability to code in one or more scripting or programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience with scalable, highly available distributed systems.
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Experience working on RFPs and RFIs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience selling databases or deploying applications with major cloud providers.
- Database programming and data modeling experience.
- Knowledge of Apache Spark, cloud storage and streaming, API management, Kafka, and serverless technologies.
- Cloud provider certification.
- MongoDB certification.
- Experience with partner enablement.
