Leads the App Primitives platform team responsible for shared infrastructure such as comments, notifications, event logs, feature flags, and task management. Requires engineering management experience, platform-team leadership, and strong full-stack technical judgment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the App Primitives team, including hiring, team health, delivery, and development of senior engineers and technical leads.
- Own the strategy and roadmap for shared product primitives, including comments infrastructure, notifications, event logs, feature flags using Statsig, and task management.
- Define interfaces between shared systems and product teams so teams can build quickly and safely on the underlying infrastructure.
- Partner with product engineering leaders to identify developer needs, reduce friction, and prioritize platform investments.
- Set technical direction for a full-stack team working across data models, backend services, APIs, and UI primitives.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and stakeholder expectations across concurrent workstreams with high autonomy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience and 2+ years managing engineering teams.
- Experience developing senior engineers and technical leads.
- Experience leading platform, shared services, or product infrastructure teams.
- Full-stack technical fluency, including backend systems, shared data models, and API design.
- Strong collaboration skills with product, design, and engineering leaders.
- Track record of hiring senior engineers and building a strong team culture.
- Experience managing multi-team dependencies and delivering concurrent workstreams with limited oversight.
- Uses AI in day-to-day work to improve workflows and outcomes while maintaining a high quality bar.
