Responsibilities
- Own the Loyalty roadmap from strategy through delivery, translating member growth and retention goals into an engineering plan.
- Manage dependencies across Partnerships and Rider Pay.
- Build and scale systems for membership, rewards earning and redemption, and benefit delivery.
- Maintain a high technical bar through architecture reviews, technical debt management, observability, reliability, and on-call practices.
- Develop engineers by matching people with opportunities, setting clear expectations, and providing timely feedback.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years of directly managing engineers.
- Experience managing a team that shipped both mobile and backend work.
- Ability to read and review code in at least one mobile or backend area.
- Experience owning a consumer product used by millions of people monthly.
- Experience using AI tools and understanding their strengths and limitations.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
