Leads full-stack engineering teams building data visualization and business semantics products for Databricks AI/BI. The role requires engineering management experience, distributed systems expertise, talent development, and experience scaling distributed teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead a talented engineering team of full-stack engineers and subject-matter experts focused on data visualization or Unity Catalog Business Semantics initiatives.
- Oversee ongoing recruitment and talent development.
- Build processes that implement product vision and strategy in line with organizational goals and priorities.
- Build high-quality, operable software.
- Manage technical debt, make long-term architecture decisions, and balance technical work with the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing teams that build and operate systems in a SaaS environment.
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems, platforms, services, and application experiences serving multiple product teams and customers.
- Experience scaling engineering teams from 5 to 20+ people.
- Experience collaborating with product management, customer success, and engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong track record of attracting, hiring, and retaining engineering talent.
- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple locations.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving technology environment.
Compensation
- Canada pay range: $171,100–$227,500 CAD.
- Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
