Senior Specialist Solutions Engineer - Platform Security and Cloud Infrastructure
Leads customer-facing architecture and technical pre-sales for Databricks security and cloud infrastructure solutions. The role requires at least four years of cloud infrastructure and security experience, hands-on automation expertise, and experience designing security data platforms.

Responsibilities
- Guide customers in building big data solutions on Databricks across a broad range of use cases.
- Support Field Engineering pre-sales teams in designing and implementing essential workloads.
- Provide technical leadership for strategic customer implementations, including architecture and security design, development and deployment best practices, and automation.
- Assist Solution Architects with advanced technical sales activities, including custom proof-of-concept content, workload sizing, and custom architectures.
- Architect production-level, cloud-native governed workloads.
- Provide expertise in cloud infrastructure and security for the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Lead workshops, hackathons, and conference presentations to enable adoption.
- Contribute to the broader Databricks community.
Requirements
- Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external customers or internal clients and stakeholders across industries.
- 4+ years of experience designing cloud infrastructure, security, and services using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience applying cloud security and networking best practices, including:
- Cloud network and connectivity architecture, including VPC/VNet design, routing, segmentation, and private connectivity.
- Identity and Access Management, role-based access control, least-privilege principles, and IdP integration.
- Cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform or cloud-specific resource management tools such as ARM and CloudFormation.
- Experience supporting customers or internal teams in designing and implementing security lakehouses or security data platforms on Databricks for SIEM augmentation, security analytics, threat hunting, and advanced detections.
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, vibe coding, and agentic tools.
- Foundational knowledge of large-scale processing and analytical engines for data pipeline architecture design.
