Director of Solutions Architecture
Leads and scales ClickHouse’s Solutions Architecture function across India and ASEAN, combining people leadership with senior customer-facing technical guidance. Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale the India and ASEAN Solutions Architecture team.
- Set technical standards, best practices, and a customer-first culture.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership to drive outcomes for enterprise and commercial customers.
- Advise customers, from C-suite stakeholders to architects, data engineers, and developers.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, cloud-native solution designs, including architectures, migrations, workflows, and data visualizations.
- Guide high-impact proofs of concept and reference architectures.
- Evangelize ClickHouse’s vision, architecture, and value proposition across the APJ market through executive briefings, events, and community initiatives.
- Drive regional initiatives that transform raw data into actionable insights aligned with business outcomes.
- Provide field feedback to inform product strategy, roadmap priorities, and go-to-market execution.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical leadership role.
- Prior people-management experience.
- Strong background with open-source software business models and cloud-first technologies.
- Hands-on experience designing and supporting scalable, highly available distributed systems.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical engagement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience operating in fast-growing, high-change environments and building teams from an early stage.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience deploying applications or selling into AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure environments.
- Familiarity with database technologies, data modeling, and analytical workloads.
- Experience supporting multiple countries or regions within APJ.
