Senior Software Engineer - Global Payroll
Build and lead development of scalable India and Singapore payroll systems, including payroll calculations, compliance, integrations, and filings. Responsibilities
- Own and deliver multi-team quarterly goals, taking responsibility for project success and aligning team goals with organizational priorities.
- Convert complex requests into scalable, clean designs and code while serving as a multi-system architecture expert.
- Debug systems, manage on-call incidents, act as Incident Commander, and conduct postmortems.
- Focus on maintainability and quality while implementing security best practices.
- Contribute to robust and scalable systems supporting IN/SG payroll.
- Write clean, maintainable code and improve the technology stack and engineering processes.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, other teams, and third-party systems to build and ship product features.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, act as a technical liaison, and proactively clarify requirements.
- Mentor teammates, exchange feedback, contribute to recruiting, drive knowledge sharing, and seek mentorship.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Experience building large-scale platforms for web applications.
- Experience leading projects spanning multiple teams and requiring cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience mentoring and leading a small team of engineers.
- Expertise in Python and Django.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design basics.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot independently.

- Exposure to frontend development with JavaScript.
