Responsibilities
- Own federal and state annual tax updates from source research through launch.
- Use AI-assisted tools and automation to compare forms, map code, draft requirements, and refine output with tax expertise.
- Translate tax changes into requirements for UI and help content, calculations and constants, PDFs, e-file/XML, and testing.
- Make and review targeted code changes, especially constants, using official sources and the team’s pull-request workflow.
- Partner with tax product specialists, engineers, and quality engineers through peer review, certification, regression, and launch testing.
- Triage filing defects and rejections, and coordinate solutions with tax agencies and internal partners.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a tax analyst or specialist on a tax software product.
- Experience creating regression test scenarios.
- Ability to read and interpret code.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Methodical, highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Enrolled Agent certification.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualifications.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range of $135,800–$245,400 USD, depending on location zone, skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
