Own and evolve SOLIDWORKS PDM and manufacturing-system processes for a hardware organization, including release control, configuration management, and PDM-to-Odoo integration. The role requires 5+ years of PDM/PLM administration and strong scripting or integration skills.

Responsibilities
- Administer the SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional environment, including archive and database servers, vault configuration, replication, backups, restore testing, upgrades, and licensing.
- Design and maintain data cards, workflows, revision schemes, and state-based permissions.
- Define and implement engineering release and change control, including ECR/ECO workflows, released-state protection, effectivity, and revision control.
- Govern CAD and product-data standards, including part numbering, file naming, templates, Toolbox management, and custom properties.
- Maintain PDM-to-Odoo integration for item masters, engineering BOMs, revisions, and released drawings.
- Automate administration and data movement using Dispatch, scripting, and PDM/Odoo APIs.
- Support, train, and onboard engineering and production users; triage issues and document enforced processes.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain on MES, quality-management, and serialized-traceability systems.
- Establish configuration control across as-designed, as-planned, and as-built product data.
Requirements
- 5+ years administering PDM or PLM systems in a hardware engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Deep hands-on SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional administration, including workflows, data cards, permissions, and Dispatch.
- Experience owning engineering release and change-control processes.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP manufacturing data, including item masters, BOMs, and routings.
- Scripting or light development experience with Python, C#/.NET, or SQL, and REST or XML-RPC APIs.
- Experience translating engineering and production process requirements into system configuration.
Nice-to-haves
- Odoo or another ERP/MRP implementation, integration, or migration.
- MES or electronic quality-management platform deployment.
- Rail, aerospace, automotive, or other serialized-traceability and configuration-control experience.
- SOLIDWORKS Manage or PDM-to-PLM migration experience.
- IT infrastructure experience with identity and SSO, Windows Server, virtualization, backup strategy, and software licensing.
- Startup or small-team experience building processes and documentation from scratch.
Compensation
- Target salary range: $150,000–$190,000 USD.
