Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
- Own the end-to-end product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for the Finance SaaS portfolio across procure-to-pay, record-to-report, quote-to-cash, payroll and equity, treasury, investments, and enterprise performance management.
- Lead Finance and AI transformation by moving teams from manual processes to AI-enabled workflows, including close automation, anomaly detection, approval copilots, and intelligent reconciliations.
- Translate Finance priorities such as close acceleration, scalability, public-company rigor, and M&A into a sequenced roadmap.
- Lead build-versus-buy and vendor-selection decisions alongside Enterprise Architecture.
- Define a consistent operating model for intake, prioritization, release management, change management, and adoption measurement.
- Drive prioritization using outcomes such as close-cycle reduction, automation rates, SOX compliance effectiveness, and Finance productivity improvements.
- Establish a transparent demand pipeline showing planned, in-flight, and shipped work.
- Assess finance processes for manual workflows, process gaps, control weaknesses, data-quality issues, and opportunities for AI-powered solutions.
- Design and launch system capabilities that improve user efficiency and business value.
- Drive transformation initiatives across quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and hire-to-retire.
Strategic Orchestration & Influence
- Advise senior Finance and Tech leaders on roadmap trade-offs involving speed, risk, and long-term impact.
- Align Finance, Tech, Business partners, internal teams, and external integration partners.
- Lead diligence programs to evaluate system performance, workflows, and adoption metrics.
Team Leadership
- Manage SaaS product managers responsible for Finance domains including procure-to-pay, record-to-report, quote-to-cash, payroll, and equity.
- Set direction, priorities, and coverage models while developing team members through roadmap reviews, stakeholder coaching, and one-on-ones.
- Serve as an escalation point for ambiguity, prioritization conflicts, and cross-functional friction.
Hands-On Product Ownership
- Maintain direct ownership of a portfolio of applications, including intake, prioritization, releases, stakeholder relationships, and delivery partnership with Finance and Engineering.
Vendor & Demand Management
- Own Finance SaaS vendor relationships, including renewals, SLAs, roadmap influence, escalations, and spend rationalization.
- Help stakeholders articulate needs, estimate effort, and sequence work.
- Partner with Procurement and Finance leadership on tooling spend, contract timing, and consolidation.
- Track total cost of ownership and license utilization.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as the primary product liaison for Finance leadership.
- Partner with FP&A, Technical Accounting, Revenue, Treasury, Payroll, and Finance Operations.
- Work with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering on integrations, data quality, and technical delivery.
- Support M&A systems due diligence, gap analysis, integration sequencing, and adoption planning.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product management, business or finance systems, or finance transformation.
- 2+ years of direct people-management experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of Finance SaaS platforms across multiple domains, such as ERP, EPM/CPM, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, treasury, or payroll.
- Experience building and operating product and intake models covering roadmaps, prioritization, release management, and change management.
- Strong vendor-management experience, including selection, renewals, SLAs, and vendor-roadmap influence.
- Experience developing product-management or systems-analyst talent.
- Ability to operate at both executive-strategy and platform-configuration levels.
