Solutions Architect
Serves as the technical partner for prospects and customers, designing data architectures, running proofs of concept, and guiding ClickHouse deployments from evaluation through production. Requires customer-facing technical experience, strong SQL and analytical database expertise, and knowledge of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for prospects and customers evaluating or scaling ClickHouse, from discovery through production deployment.
- Design reference architectures, data models, and ingestion/query patterns tailored to customer use cases, scale, and existing data stacks.
- Own and run technical proofs of concept and benchmarks against incumbent solutions.
- Partner with Account Executives on technical account strategy, procurement and security reviews, and complex deal closure.
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops to engineers and executive stakeholders.
- Advise on schema design, query optimization, cluster sizing, replication, and migration from databases such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Druid, and Spark.
- Represent customer feedback internally to product and engineering teams.
- Build reusable demos, technical content, reference architectures, and sample applications.
- Contribute to team best practices, tooling, and onboarding materials.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Data Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and analytical or OLAP databases.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, including partitioning, replication, consistency trade-offs, and query execution at scale.
- Familiarity with streaming systems, orchestration tools, BI tools, and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to lead technical evaluations against competing solutions and influence buying decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive audiences.
- Comfortable working hands-on with technology while owning revenue outcomes.
- Willingness to travel periodically for customer visits, conferences, and team events.

- Production deployment or administration experience with ClickHouse.
- Experience with real-time analytics, observability, or large-scale event and log data.
- Contributions to open-source data infrastructure projects.
- Experience at an early-stage or hypergrowth startup.
