Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and solution strategy for large, complex, strategic bids.
• Partner with sales, bid leadership, account teams, product specialists, services, legal, finance, and executive sponsors on coordinated pursuits.
• Develop joint value propositions, solution architectures, technical proposals, statements of work, and bid responses.
• Engage partner architects and delivery teams to validate feasibility, implementation approach, scope, risks, and dependencies.
• Facilitate technical discovery, architecture workshops, solution reviews, demonstrations, proof-of-value activities, and executive presentations.
• Translate customer business outcomes into scalable MongoDB-based architectures and partner delivery models.
• Shape partner-led modernization, migration, cloud, application development, data, analytics, and AI solutions.
• Identify technical risks, competitive threats, delivery constraints, and commercial considerations early in the bid lifecycle.
• Create reusable bid assets, reference architectures, technical content, and best practices.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with MongoDB capabilities, partner expertise, security requirements, and customer success criteria.
• Support deal qualification, opportunity prioritization, account planning, and pipeline generation.
• Coordinate technical responses across multiple partners and ensure consistency in messaging, assumptions, and commitments.
• Mentor field Solutions Architects and partner technical teams on large-bid strategy and execution.
• Capture field feedback and communicate product, capability, and partner requirements internally.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing Solutions Architect, Partner Solutions Architect, Presales Architect, Consulting Architect, or equivalent role.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise bids, tenders, RFPs, or strategic pursuits.
• Ability to design and communicate distributed, scalable, secure, and highly available architectures.
• Experience working with Global System Integrators, including sales, consulting, architecture, and delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, modern application architectures, microservices, APIs, data platforms, and DevOps.
• Experience developing technical proposals, solution designs, presentations, and executive-level bid content.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, work under tight deadlines, and drive outcomes in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical and business concepts to technical and executive audiences.
• Willingness to travel for customer and partner engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, relational database modernization, or NoSQL technologies.
• MongoDB certification or certification with a major cloud provider.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in large-scale transformation, legacy modernization, data modernization, AI/ML, or application development programs.
• Familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
• Experience with public-sector or regulated-industry procurement processes.
• Experience developing joint go-to-market propositions and partner delivery models.
• Experience leading technical workstreams in multi-year, multi-million-dollar pursuits.
