The Solutions Architect advises Stripe customers in India, designing payment and platform solutions, leading technical sales engagements, and shaping architectures and integrations. The role requires 4+ years in a customer-facing solutions or sales engineering role, strong executive communication, and API architecture expertise.

Responsibilities
- Support key technical engagements for Stripe in India.
- Advise CIOs, CTOs, COOs, CROs, CDOs, product and engineering leaders, and payments leaders as a trusted technical partner.
- Understand customer business objectives and design Stripe solutions, transformation journeys, roadmaps, architectures, and third-party integrations.
- Lead strategy engagements, customer discovery, executive briefings, presentations, solution demos, and technical-win activities.
- Represent regional customer insights to Product and Engineering as the voice of the user.
- Participate in sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account and territory planning.
- Provide technical insight and expertise to prospective and existing platform users as part of the sales team.
- Demonstrate Stripe’s platform capabilities, benefits, and potential customizations.
- Manage pre-sales projects, including proof-of-concept development and feasibility checks.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role, such as solution consultant, solutions architect, or sales engineer, for a global software enterprise.
- Executive presence and ability to build credibility with decision-makers at all levels.
- Strong group-facilitation, customer-meeting leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architecture.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of Stripe products and apply them to diverse business models.
Nice-to-haves
- Customer-facing domain expertise in payments, including presenting and architecting solutions for platform customers.
- Experience driving technical sales and supporting customers’ unique requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and understand one or more programming languages.
- Experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful APIs into web applications.
- Experience with systems design and building and deploying complex applications.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and develop paths forward with customers.
- Strategic, creative problem-solving and strong collaboration skills with global teams.
