Leads and develops an approximately 20-person autonomous-vehicle operator team while managing shift execution, incidents, performance, and continuous improvement. Requires at least two years managing teams of 10 or more direct reports and flexibility for overnight, evening, and weekend schedules.

Responsibilities
People Management
- Run interviews and onboard new hires in partnership with the Learning and Development team.
- Develop interview and onboarding processes and grading rubrics.
- Lead and manage approximately 20 operators, including feedback, coaching, mentoring, training, and competency management.
- Conduct performance reviews and help improve performance evaluation metrics.
Execution Management
- Manage start-of-shift and end-of-shift activities, including attendance tracking, software burns, data importing, and operator preparation.
- Coordinate with the planning team to ensure operators are trained and ready for new feature and capability rollouts.
- Understand weekly goals and allocation strategies, and provide periodic visibility into operator availability.
- Respond to operator and onsite incidents according to established procedures.
- Review weekly plan-versus-actual performance, identify causes of deviations, and define corrective actions.
- Lead cross-functional continuous-improvement processes and projects to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Share best practices with peers at other locations and drive standardization.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing teams with at least 10 direct reports, including hiring, performance management, coaching, or mentoring.
- Understanding of United States labor, employment, and driving laws.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Comfort reviewing data and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
- Interest in robots and tools supporting artificial intelligence and robotics development.
Nice-to-Haves
- At least 4 years of experience managing large teams of 15 or more direct reports.
- At least 2 years of experience in the autonomous-vehicle or delivery industry.
Compensation
- Base pay range: $72,160–$97,420 annually.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
