Solutions Consultant, Post Sales, Commercial
Solutions Consultants (Post-Sales) partner with Account Managers to expand existing Commercial and Mid-Market customers. They run product demos, design ERP/API integrations and architecture, troubleshoot blockers, translate technical concepts into business value, and influence the product roadmap.
About the job
What You'll Do
- Partner with Account Managers to demonstrate new Ramp products and features to existing customers, building the business case for expansion through customized demos and workflow illustrations.
- Evaluate customer requirements for expansion opportunities, assessing fit through use-case analysis, ROI assessments, and technical scoping.
- Design and recommend best-fit Ramp architecture — including when and how to use APIs, ERP integrations, and HRIS connectors — based on each customer's existing systems and workflows.
- Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal teams, guiding integration, configuration, and system design decisions.
- Troubleshoot ERP and integration blockers, and guide customers through complex configuration decisions across NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion, and others.
- Support Account Managers on technical workstreams, ensuring faster time-to-value during product rollouts and expansions.
- Be a subject matter expert across accounting systems and integration partners; advocate for integration development in line with customer needs.
- Influence Ramp's product roadmap by channeling customer pain points and feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
- Contribute to internal documentation, tooling, and knowledge bases that scale Ramp's ability to support integration use cases.
What You Need
- 3+ years in Solutions Consulting, Technical Consulting, Implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role in SaaS or fintech.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field.
- Hands-on familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion) and finance/accounting workflows.
- Comfort with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture — and the ability to explain those concepts clearly to finance and operations stakeholders.
- Experience running product demonstrations and translating complex technical capabilities into clear business value.
- Strong communication skills: able to guide customers toward scalable approaches and diplomatically steer conversations when requests are misaligned with product capabilities or best practices.
- Collaborative mindset; effective working cross-functionally with Account Management, Product, and Engineering.
- Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; highly organized, ownership-oriented, and resourceful.
