Sales Operations Manager

The Sales Operations Manager will manage Salesforce data quality, reporting, commissions, territories, quota tracking, and deal desk workflows while building scalable revenue operations processes. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong Salesforce expertise, and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Finance, Marketing Operations, and GTM Engineering.

Responsibilities

Salesforce & CRM Health

  • Maintain Salesforce data quality across the sales pipeline, including field completeness, record accuracy, duplicate management, and routing hygiene.
  • Build automations and validation rules that prevent recurring data issues.
  • Identify gaps in CRM usage and drive configuration and process improvements.
  • Support user onboarding processes and documentation.

Reporting & Pipeline Support

  • Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards for pipeline coverage, rep attainment, activity tracking, and deal velocity.
  • Prepare data packages for weekly pipeline reviews and flag deals requiring attention.
  • Fulfill ad hoc data requests from Sales leadership.
  • Maintain the data quality needed for reliable reporting and analysis.

Compensation & Territory

  • Execute monthly commission calculations by pulling attainment data from Salesforce, reconciling it against plans, resolving discrepancies, and submitting results to Finance.
  • Improve the auditability and efficiency of commission processes.
  • Partner on territory design, including modeling, account and rep assignment data, and routing rules.
  • Support quota tracking and rep-level attainment reporting.

Deal Desk & Approvals

  • Help establish and document the deal desk process.
  • Build templates and maintain approval infrastructure.
  • Maintain the deal desk log and approval audit trail.
  • Document pricing exceptions, track trends, and surface items approaching service-level agreements.

Operations Intake & Request Management

  • Facilitate the Revenue Operations intake process for CRM changes, report builds, data pulls, and process questions.
  • Triage requests from Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Track request volume, resolution time, and request source.
  • Identify recurring patterns and develop self-service solutions.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Marketing Operations on lead routing quality, MQL handoff data, and shared CRM fields.
  • Provide clean and consistent Salesforce, pipeline, and attainment data for GTM Strategy & Operations reporting.
  • Partner with GTM Engineering on Salesforce data, list inputs, and operational context for automation builds.
  • Propose fixes for missing processes and workflow breakdowns.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or a closely related B2B function.
  • Strong Salesforce fluency, including managing the data model, building automations, writing validation rules, and maintaining data hygiene at scale.
  • Hands-on experience with commission calculations, territory administration, and quota tracking.
  • Experience with deal desk or approval workflows.
  • Systems-oriented approach to improving manual processes.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working across Sales, Finance, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to push back constructively when data or processes are not correct.
  • Salesforce certification is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $96,560–$119,280 USD.
  • Sales roles may be eligible for commission or bonus incentives; the posted range for Sales roles reflects total potential on-target earnings.
