Responsibilities
- Bring software development practices and ideas to the networking industry.
- Contribute to the codebase, systems, and software architecture as part of the engineering team.
- Create and optimize network device models for different vendors and protocols.
- Build infrastructure to configure, collect data from, and test network devices.
- Collaborate with experts in networking, distributed systems, big data, and search.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of Java development experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong software engineering experience with large codebases.
- Basic understanding of networking and TCP/IP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, or load balancers.
- Experience with networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, VLAN, and VXLAN.
