Account Manager

Responsibilities

  • Complete reporting and data requirements based on client and team needs.
  • Own customer satisfaction and retention for assigned clients.
  • Build trusting relationships with client operational leadership.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of customers’ business challenges.
  • Lead cross-functional project management to resolve escalated client issues, coordinating internal and external teams.
  • Support research and data activities for escalated issue resolution.
  • Identify product gaps through business impact assessments and manage client expectations.
  • Prioritize issues and assess escalations that may create client attrition risk, ensuring strong mitigation plans are in place.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of direct account management or relationship management experience in healthcare.
  • Working knowledge of commercial health insurance and pharmacy benefits preferred.
  • Executive-level communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict navigation and mediation.
  • Experience managing client relationships, documenting expectations and deliverables, informing stakeholders, and achieving client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, disciplined, and able to take initiative with minimal direction.
  • Strong conflict-resolution, communication, consultative, and tactful problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
