Account Manager

Own post-sale relationships for GameChanger’s club, league, and organization customers, driving onboarding, adoption, retention, renewals, and expansion. The role requires 3+ years of B2B or B2B2C account management or customer success experience, CRM proficiency, and knowledge of baseball/softball and basketball markets.

Responsibilities

  • Own the post-sale customer relationship from signed agreement through onboarding, adoption, expansion, and renewal.
  • Partner with Account Executives on customer handoffs and lead onboarding for Club Directors and organization leaders.
  • Configure accounts, set up teams, align stakeholders, create launch plans, and establish success milestones.
  • Equip Club Directors and coaches with guidance, resources, and communication plans for introducing GameChanger to teams and families.
  • Build trusted relationships with club directors, league administrators, coaches, and other stakeholders through proactive check-ins.
  • Monitor customer health and adoption signals, including team setup, coach activation, parent participation, athlete claims, and fan engagement.
  • Create and execute account plans to increase adoption, deepen engagement, and expand across teams, programs, or sports.
  • Coordinate education, enablement, and lifecycle communications with Customer Experience and Marketing.
  • Own renewals from early planning and value reinforcement through agreement execution.
  • Identify customer risk, develop recovery plans, and coordinate internal partners to protect retention.
  • Maintain account health, renewal forecasts, growth opportunities, and customer activity in the CRM.
  • Establish onboarding, account planning, adoption, expansion, referral, and renewal playbooks.
  • Share customer insights with Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Product.
  • Define success metrics, operating rhythms, and scalable account management processes with Sales leadership.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of B2B or B2B2C account management, customer success, or post-sales experience, ideally including renewals and expansion.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding retention, renewal, adoption, or growth goals.
  • Experience onboarding and managing multi-stakeholder accounts, from senior decision-makers to day-to-day users.
  • Strong consultative, relationship-building, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to connect customer goals to measurable outcomes.
  • Experience using customer data and account health signals to prioritize action and manage a portfolio proactively.
  • Experience with CRM and customer success platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  • Self-starter comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with significant ownership.
  • Knowledge of baseball/softball and basketball sports markets.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Target salary range: $65,000–$85,000, with total on-target earnings of up to $125,000 based on performance.
  • Total compensation may include incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
