Responsibilities
- Manage inbound lead flow and execute outbound prospecting initiatives for Enterprise and Mid-Market accounts in Australia.
- Conduct discovery conversations, research accounts, identify key stakeholders and compelling events, and generate qualified meetings and sales pipeline.
- Meet or exceed Business Development Representative-sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity targets.
- Develop targeted account lists, call strategies, messaging, and marketing tactics with Field and Digital Marketing teams.
- Execute call, email, and social outreach using Outreach.io.
- Track and report activities and results in Salesforce.
- Document processes in the GitLab handbook.
- Support regional marketing events by driving attendance, engaging participants, identifying opportunities, and scheduling meetings.
- Mentor new BDR hires and collaborate with Account Executives, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
- Continuously refine BDR strategies and share innovative ideas.
Requirements
- Professional proficiency in English; additional Asian-language proficiency is a plus.
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
- Self-starter with a track record of credible achievements.
- Knowledge of business processes, roles, and organizational structures.
- Experience developing Enterprise and Mid-Market business in Australia.
- Persistence in meeting or exceeding targets through follow-up, objection handling, and continuous improvement.
- Interest in GitLab and the DevOps space.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, including Salesforce reporting, and LinkedIn.
- Previous technology-industry experience and experience in sales development, marketing, sales, or outbound prospecting.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with ZoomInfo, Cognism, Outreach, or 6sense.
- Proficiency in other Asian languages.
