Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team and provide technical leadership to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems.
- Consult on big data architectures and implement proofs of concept for strategic projects spanning data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.
- Validate integrations with cloud services, homegrown tools, and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects and support customers.
- Promote Databricks open-source projects, including Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow, and recruit contributors in the developer community.
- Guide strategic AI-native customers through competitive landscapes, best practices, and implementation while developing technical champions.
- Travel to customers in the region as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a similar pre-sales or consulting role.
- Experience building distributed data systems.
- Comfortable programming in and debugging Python and SQL.
- Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka, or in data science and machine learning technologies such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
Nice to Have
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
- Databricks Certification.
Compensation and Benefits
- Local pay range: $180,000–$247,500 USD.
- Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
