About the job

Responsibilities

  • Lead ElevenLabs' engagement with government bodies and officials across Canada, focusing on AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society groups.
  • Monitor, analyze, and advise on emerging regulations affecting the company.
  • Represent ElevenLabs at conferences and industry events, advancing public policy goals.
  • Support internal policy development with Legal, Safety, Security, and other teams.
  • Advise company leadership on regional policy trends and business implications.
  • Promote government adoption of ElevenLabs products and services in partnership with the GTM team.
  • Define and implement policy campaigns and impact initiatives that advance company objectives.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and make informed decisions quickly.

  • 8+ years of experience in public- and private-sector policy roles, with a focus on AI and technology.
  • Strong knowledge of Canada's AI policy landscape, including AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
  • Demonstrated success designing, advocating for, and influencing policy outcomes, as well as building coalitions.
  • Public policy experience across Canada.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefing government officials and policymakers.
  • Fluency in English and French.
