What you'll do
- Own denials, rejections, and outstanding AR for customers: work the full recovery lifecycle — diagnosing root causes, reworking and resubmitting claims, drafting appeals, and chasing aging AR to resolution
- Pair deep RCM judgment with AI-native tooling: use Joyful Health's platform to resolve claims at speed and scale traditional RCM can't match
- Partner closely with each account's Revenue Cycle Success Manager to keep recovery work and customer strategy aligned
- Collaborate with the RCM Center of Excellence to sharpen recovery work and share frontline insights
- Feed the product loop: surface patterns from the recovery frontline to inform the RCM CoE and Engineering teams

- Fluent in Joyful Health's platform and AI RCM tooling
- Actively working denials, rejections, and AR across assigned accounts
- Strong working relationships with Revenue Cycle Success Managers and the RCM CoE
In 90 days
- Strong, measurable recovery results — denials overturned, claims resolved, AR brought current — at high throughput and quality
- Operating independently across book of accounts in tight coordination with RCSMs
- Consistently surfacing useful signal into the CoE/Engineering feedback loop
In 12 months
- Track record of recovered revenue that directly delivers on customer promise
- Recognized as a go-to recovery expert and trusted partner to RCSM, RCM CoE, and Engineering teams
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on RCM experience in a practice or physician-group setting (outpatient/ambulatory/private-practice RCM)
- Personally worked denials, rejections, and AR end-to-end; understand full revenue cycle including clean claim submission, why claims get rejected/denied, how to appeal, and how to chase aging AR
- Relentless about recovery — chase claims to root cause, know payer pathways fluently, dig multiple layers to recover dollars
- Understand the whole claim lifecycle (submission, rejections, denials, appeals, AR)
- Energized by AI tooling and excited to work alongside state-of-the-art technology
- Product and systems minded — articulate why a claim failed and translate into engineering feedback
- Collaborative and low-ego; work shoulder-to-shoulder with RCSMs, RCM CoE, and engineering teams
