Legal Engineer
Legal professionals will advise law firms and in-house legal teams on applying Harvey’s AI solutions to their workflows. The role requires German and English fluency, a JD or equivalent qualification, and at least three years of top-tier legal practice experience.

Responsibilities
- Engage with English- and German-speaking lawyers at existing and prospective customers to understand workflow challenges, strategic objectives, and broader firm context, then demonstrate how Harvey’s AI solutions can address them.
- Establish credibility as an expert in solving customers’ legal problems, including researching public and private databases, drafting and analyzing contractual provisions and documents, analyzing briefs and filings, corporate governance, and conducting due diligence.
- Lead product demonstrations tailored to law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams.
- Partner with marketing to develop content for lawyers and specific practice areas and client types.
- Act as the voice of the customer, helping the sales team develop strategies and synthesizing customer feedback for the product team through a legal lens.
- Tailor new solutions to specific customer needs.
- Further Harvey’s market perception as a credible and substantive partner in applying AI solutions to legal work.
- Conduct research and analysis on customers and competitors.
Requirements
- JD or equivalent legal qualification.
- Fluent in German and English.
- At least 3 years of experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm, preferably with transactional, in-house, or transformation experience.
- Executive engagement skills and presence, with the ability to establish relationships with decision-makers and build credibility at all levels.
- Outstanding presentation skills for legal and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboard sessions, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Strong understanding of legal processes and challenges faced by legal professionals.
- Curiosity about AI’s potential to transform the legal industry.
- Valid German work rights; visa sponsorship is not currently offered.
Nice to Have
- Sales or customer-facing experience, including law firm business development or secondment.
- Experience directly managing law firm client matters and relationships.
