Responsibilities
- Lead the technical lifecycle of team products, ensuring they are robust, secure, and performant from the frontend to the infrastructure layer.
- Design clean APIs, efficient data flows, and scalable service architectures across the UI and backend.
- Create and document technical designs accounting for scale, reliability, and regional constraints.
- Ensure services meet performance and security standards, including SLAs/SLOs, observability, rate limiting, and SEO.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and hands-on guidance.
- Design reliable backend architectures and implement automated delivery pipelines.
- Apply security best practices, telemetry, alerting, and monitoring.
- Communicate technical trade-offs and system flows to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Go, React, and Next.js.
- Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud environment such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong proficiency designing and building scalable services with Node.js or Go; Node.js is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience deploying, scaling, and operating backend services on AWS and using Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and data and deployment pipelines.
- Experience using quantitative analysis, including latency and traffic volume, to support design and technology decisions.
- Strong production systems experience, including monitoring, debugging, and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with modern React and MobX or Redux.
- Experience with frontend build tools, module bundlers, and package managers.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed, and web performance optimization.
- Understanding of web traffic flows through browsers, CDNs, load balancers, API gateways, and backend services.
- Ability to design highly reliable backend architectures and automated delivery pipelines.
Nice to Have
- Experience in identity and access management (IAM).
- Knowledge of security engineering principles and application security best practices.
