Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Internship - AUS Government
An FDSE intern partners directly with customers to understand complex operational problems and deliver data-driven software solutions. The role requires strong programming ability, adaptability, independent ownership, collaboration across technical and non-technical teams, and Australian security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand complex problems and design and implement data-driven solutions.
- Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
- Discuss architecture with engineers, work with large-scale data, build custom web applications, engage customer executives, and establish team strategy.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, Deployment Strategists, and customers, including on-site engagement as needed.
- Travel as required by the location and team.
Requirements

- Engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Active Australian Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- Planning to graduate in 2027; this must be the final internship before graduation.
