Responsibilities
- Build and lead Redis’s standalone Developer Marketing function.
- Lead developer advocacy through events, hackathons, speaking engagements, and workshops.
- Produce and commission developer-focused content, including how-to guides, demo apps, and reference implementations.
- Engage developers across Reddit, Stack Overflow, Discord, and Slack; answer questions, remove friction, and share community insights with Product.
- Grow developer sign-ups and improve developer sentiment.
- Build third-party validation through external advocates and developer content.
- Influence agent recommendations so Redis becomes a default choice for AI-agent memory and real-time data.
- Track leading indicators including sign-ups, sentiment, third-party validation, and agent recommendation.
Requirements
- Experience running or scaling a developer relations, developer marketing, or community function, ideally at a developer-tools or infrastructure company.
- Technical credibility with developers and understanding of the needs of engineers building production AI agents.
- Track record producing or commissioning developer content that developers use, including guides, demo apps, and reference implementations.
- Fluency with developer marketing metrics and leading indicators.
- Point of view on the AI-builder ecosystem and a relevant professional network.
- Strong operator instincts, with a focused-team mindset, bias toward shipping, and sound prioritization judgment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated gross base annual salary: $210,000–$230,000 in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island.
