Customer Enablement Lead - Builder

Leads technical customer enablement for OpenAI products, designing and delivering trainings, workshops, and adoption programs for enterprise technical and executive audiences. The role requires 4+ years in customer-facing or instructional work, strong software and API expertise, and practical knowledge of production AI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical enablement of OpenAI products, including OpenAI APIs, Codex, Agents, Evaluations, and other platform capabilities.
  • Lead customer training and enablement across the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding through expansion, optimization, and long-term adoption.
  • Design and deliver onboarding sessions, advanced capability trainings, executive briefings, hackathons, and hands-on workshops.
  • Drive customer activation, sustained usage, and measurable business value through structured enablement and deployment programs.
  • Partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, Solution Architects, Delivery Leads, and Product teams to tailor enablement plans to customer use cases, goals, and technical needs.
  • Develop reusable training assets, playbooks, and best practices based on customer and regional patterns.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback and share insights with internal stakeholders to inform product and program improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for designated product areas and support internal enablement.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in customer-facing or instructional roles with C-level and senior technical audiences in complex enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to senior and executive audiences.
  • Strong technical depth across software engineering, the software development lifecycle, and APIs.
  • Practical understanding of how AI systems are built, evaluated, and operated in production, including RAG, evaluation strategies, agentic systems, and key tradeoffs.
  • Experience leading structured technical trainings such as API bootcamps, workshops, or enablement sessions.
  • Ability to design learning journeys, handle live questions, and reason through problems in real time.
  • Ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes such as productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, risk mitigation, or revenue impact.
  • Comfortable adapting to new information, shifting priorities, and real-time customer questions.
  • Commitment to the safe and ethical evolution of AI.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $197,000–$278,000.
  • Relocation assistance is available.
